waaaahhhhh
4.8.08 @ 09:34 first thing first. NDP preview from the 25th floor of Ritz-Carlton was wah~ the bird's eye view of the parade segment's far better than that on tv. and the aero display was seriously WAH~~~~~ my mom and i were like screaming on the bathtub lar. my sister, brother in law, brother, sister in law were in the room watching. i tell you, the bathtub has the best darn view lor. but then, after the parade segment, all i did was wait for the fireworks. i don't like the show segment, really. show segment's the time when you walk around, talk, and wait for fireworks. when the fireworks came, it was right in my face lar! it's like right in front of me lor! i recorded the whole thing but i doubt i'll upload the video. why? because my mom's screaming VERY loudly in the background. o.o anyways, i'll post the screenshots when i'm free. (that's going to be like on saturday.) anywaysss, i was reading the newspapers the other day and i saw the 'teacher slapped my kid' story. and i was like telling my mom about it. and guess what? i just saw randy's blog entry on that stupid incident too. LOL seriously lar, the parents pamper the kids TOO much lor. if you've never been slapped in your life, you're not lucky. you're UNlucky. come on lar, would you rather be slapped as a kid or as an adult? i definitely prefer as a kid lor. coming from a family where being beaten is no big deal, i don't see how a school kid can be un-beaten in his/her life at all. if kids disobey, make them obey. and not buy them toys and chocolates and what nots just to make them happy. that's just my personal opinion though. take for example, on a packed train, a kid starts screaming and shouting at the top of his/her voice, i've seen parents ignoring the situation, taking out his/her toys for him/her to play, sayang the kid like there's no tomorrow, give sweets to him/her. but you know what i would have done if he/she was my child? stare, scold, slap. simple as that. but how many parents scold their child in public now? few, i'd say. sometimes i can't help but wonder, 10, 20 years down the road, if i were to use my preferred method to make sure he/she obeys (i.e SSS), i think he/she might sue for child abuse. haha. ah wells, maybe by the time i'm a parent, i'll be treating my child as a king/queen. maybe by then, i won't even lay a finger on my child. who knows, right? with love, xoxo |
