to be frank, this is a cumulative entry. why? because it started on 1/12/08 and will slowly build up to the entry seen on 31/12/08. this is to prevent me from forgetting what i'd like to say when i sit down in front of the computer, since that happens rather often. :x

this year, 2008, has been a year filled with firsts and mosts (thus far of course) for me.

FIRST:
-> full time job
-> graduation ceremony
-> wedding video done
-> scolding of irritating children on bus 21

MOST:
-> savings
-> expensive stuff
~ handphone
~ bag
~ birthday present
-> wants/bimbotic year
-> spendings in a year

but of course, how can a year go by without being thankful for my friends and family?

i know i've lost my temper at my family (namely my mom) quite a lot this year, but i guess it's not just the circumstances that caused it, i'm guilty of losing my temper most of the time. maybe my patience is being burnt by the environment. but i have to make sure that i have more patience in future.

i admit i haven't been spending enough time with my friends. i don't know how most of them are doing now. i made an effort but it seems like stuff crop up last minute on my side or that there doesn't seem to be a date whereby all of them can make it. it's like what hariani or jerome said, it's not as fun if a piece of the puzzle's missing. i sincerely apologise if i've ever stood any of you up, or be extremely late for outings. i have my reasons, just that i can't say them.

like previous year(s), i've always thanked my friends for being there for me. but it seems as if i can't really thank anyone this year. not that they weren't there for me, but that because i spent so little time with them, i don't know how to go about thanking them. they have been there for me, if i choose to let them. but because we don't see one another often, i feel as if i've hidden part of me from them, or that i choose not to let them carry my problems with them. i feel guilty about not opening up to them like i did in the previous year(s). i apologise.

my thanks:
to my most beloved bmf randy, thank you for being there for me when we were in school, for encouraging me not to blow up during projects. thank you for being there for me even when you were in men island. thank you for being such a marvellous friend. i really appreciate everything you've done, except the suan-isms of course. i'm really thankful for having found a friend like you to make my crappy days so much better. thank you, my most beloved bmf. =)

to my beloved fluffy darlings, thanks for being there during the few outings to make me smile and forget all my problems. special thanks to jolene for listening to my complains during my last semester. thanks to qinghui and eden for accompanying me for lunch when i'm at work. without any single one of you, my life would have been an empty and boring place. thank you, my darlings, for adding COLOUR to my life.

to all other friends, thanks for just being there. you may not feel that you've affected me, but you have, in your own way. thank you, so much.

2008 has been an eventful year for me. so many things happening, but yet so little that i've shared.

and so
the life of the wanderer begins
what life brings
she follows

well, this year marks the start of working life. it's as tiring and no-life-able as expected. what to do when work only ends at 6 and i've to wake up at 6am the next day for work. i would definitely love to have more time to go out and meet people. i won't be doing myself any good if i were to stay in this place all the time. metting up with friends, both old and new, make my life more meaningful.

work has been a learning process for me. i see all kinds of people here, colleagues or otherwise. i've learnt how to listen and not listen at the same time, or rather i practice selective listening/memory. its not that i don't want to listen, but sometimes things get complicated and its better that i don't.

if i say i want to stay here for another few years, that's just me being complacent. because it's a matter of time before i go on to get my degree, and hopefully a masters. and when that happens, i will probably want to move on to bigger things or perhaps, another career.

i don't know what my future will be
but no matter what
i've got to accept it.

with that said, hopefully 2009 will be a better year for all. happy new year! =)

with love,
xoxo

pocket: burnt
30.12.08 @ 09:53

*poof* i'm back!

i tell you, it's an expensive trip lar. let's see, i got myself 4 tops from ax, puma, zara, and somewhere i forgot where. got a belt from zara too. then came the bomb that destroyed my pocket. get ready for this, ah-hem, a pink COACH bag. gosh, at 2100 ringgit, it really cost a bomb. but well, according to the salesman, that bag just arrived the day before (Christmas day) and they're only just starting to display it when i got there. they have only 3 pieces there, and 2 pieces are on display so i got the only brand new one! haha. and if i'm not mistaken, the pink that i got is a new colour! =) happy kid.

at first when we were in burberry, my mom wanted me to get a tote. but erm, it wasn't really to my liking. so we strolled over to coach and voooaala i spot the bag! hah. i think my bimbo factor just went up again. hahaha~

so ya, we spent 2 days walking in KLCC and a day in Pavilion. we didn't really get to go to other places because we were too happily trying to cover each and every single shop in KLCC. went in each and every single luxury boutique, with the exception of prada. (because there weren't any shoppers in it) lv, burberry, gucci, armani, coach, fendi etc. that's enough luxury shopping for a year lar. thankfully i didn't get something from each of the shops or i think i'm really BROKE.

anyways, think that shall be it for now. photos when i'm free. =x time to go sew my pocket already. =

with love,
xoxo

Christmas!
24.12.08 @ 10:24

it's the season to be jolly, lala lala la, lala la la~~

hah, i remember that song. the song i used to sing to jillian in band when i was bored. haha, wasn't it fun? lol.

well, Christmas is just 14 odd hours away, and i'm finishing work in 3hours! yeah~ i just LOVE public holidays!

let's think back, what on Earth was i doing a year ago? last Christmas ... oh ya, i went to randy's church with him and olivia for the play on the Nativity story. then i sort of stone at home and had delivery for dinner with my family. wah, that's like so long ago lar. back then, i was still a student. and zanngggg i'm a working semi adult now. oh oh oh, and last new year's eve was spent at jolene's place with qinghui and desmond! they weren't together yet then though. i can't believe it's been so very long.

what about this year then? spending Christmas on a bus to KL and of course shopping there! and what about new year's eve? hmm, no plans yet. may end up stoning at home to watch countdown on tv. wah, how did i end up being so no life as compared to last year's countdown? really, i've got to do something fun this new year's eve lar. i don't want to stone in front of the tv!!

anyway, i guess most people would have known about the singapore flyer getting stuck last night. i was telling my mom last night, if their capsule stopped at somewhere with a scenery, then it's not that bad. but if their capsule stopped at a point overlooking the construction site, it'll be super sad lar. imagine staring at the construction site for over 5 hours. sigh. but really, shouldn't they have more backup systems in place?

i saw from today's papers that there was a pregnant lady in one of the higher capsules. what if she had to give birth to her baby there and then? but it'll be quite interesting for the baby though, place of birth: singapore flyer. but that aside, i think it's still quite dangerous for the singapore flyer to stop like that. some elderly people and tourists go on it too. what will tourists think if they happen to get trapped on it? but well, hopefully there won't be such incidents in future. =)

hmm, i wanted to embed some Christmas songs from imeem, but there seems to be some stupid coding problem. argh, i shall ignore it. anyways,

have a MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY HAPPY NEW YEAR! =)

with love,
xoxo

2 days to Christmas
23.12.08 @ 15:10

sian, didn't make it in time to sign up for jap. all classes are full, except for those classes that start at 6.10pm on weekdays, which are impossible lar. sian. =(

anyway, i got myself 2 pairs of jeans! made use of the 'levi's gives you $50 for your old jeans' and got myself 2 pairs! but they still cost a bomb to me though. $349.80. but it's ok. it'll be my Christmas present for myself. =) will need to alter them though, but their alteration service is suspended till next feb, so i'll just have to make do with what i have first. =)

Christmas is just 2 days away, which means that my KL shopping trip is also 2 days away! =) have yet to pack my stuff. =x but i will start tomorrow when i get home. =) so if i receive any messages and i don't reply them, it's not because i'm dao, but because i'm in KL. but i'll reply as soon as i get back, which is probably sunday afternoon. =)

so ya, MERRY CHRISTMAS in advance, and happy 20th birthday to georgina! =)

with love,
xoxo

T I R E D
20.12.08 @ 19:38

finally done with moving stuff around my room. phew, am i tired. wanted to upload the pictures from last week's outings but there seems to be some stupid error. argh. never mind. so i'm stuck. crap.

i'm so tired i could fall asleep now, but i can't because i've to stay awake till my mom comes home (which will probably be 10 or 11) to make tang yuan because tomorrow's dong zhi. tired.

*yawns* shall be off watching bleach, tada.

i'm planning for my future,
a future without you.

WW III
19.12.08 @ 14:22

WW III has been going on since yesterday. it's not a continuous war (thank Goodness) but it's troubling enough. i'm quite tired of it actually, especially since i'm stuck in between the 2 parties. sigh, end this idiotic war now please?

I think i've to start exercising. it's high time i start getting my butt out of the house to run. but i need an exercise partner, or i'll be able to find reasons excuses to run 'another day', whereby 'another day' never seems to arrive. =x also, it's time to say goodbye to the adipose tissue that has been with me since SIP. they've been my friend for a while now, but i think i'll be better off without them. =)

i'm really motivated to start exercising because it's kind of depressing to find some skirts shrinking in size and some clothes hanging in the wardrobe because i haven't been wearing them due to erm, aesthetic reasons. =x really, it's time to start an exercise regime.

i'm thankful it's friday. but i dread the coming of monday. i can't wait til christmas though, shopping trip to KL! =) which reminds me, i haven't changed money yet! argh! reminder to self: withdraw money and change!

alright, shall be off thinking about nothing now.

with love,
xoxo

and it all comes down to ...
18.12.08 @ 11:05

hmm, the coming weekend will be packed with loads of stuff to do. let's see, saturday's cleaning + moving stuff in room day, sunday's sign up for jap and other stuff day. wah i think i'm going to be broke on sunday lar. jap lessons are nearly $500 and there're stuff that i want to buy which will probably cost me another $200. gosh, i'm spending my bonus away lar. 0.0

i think i've been forgetful, i didn't update on my outings from last week!! argh, the agony. so anyway, last friday night went kbox with jian bin and zhiying. it's quite amazing that i know old songs that they don't. maybe it's because i spent alot of time at home listening to my mommy sing at home when i was younger. =x anyway, pictures soon.

then, saturday, outing with randy, yile and qinghui. went to catch 'the day the earth stood still' after dinner at MOF at suntec. the movie's nice. can't really complain about the movie because there's nothing much to complain about. jaden smith acted well in the movie. (he's will smith's son by the way, and he's only 10!) and who can forget keanu reeves? i wonder why he stay so good looking. *grins* hmm, maybe i don't have much to complain because he's in the movie. =x lol. but seriously, it's a good movie. go watch it and you'll know. =)

the message from the movie is that SAVE EARTH!!! it does make sense, especially now, when the ice from north/south poles are melting like nobody's business and we're making the 'hole' in the ozone layer bigger at a rate that can easily show a pass in our exam papers. so YES, WE NEED TO SAVE THE EARTH!! an individual may not be able to do much, but if 1 million people do a little, it'll be a lot already. maybe we can all start by minimising the use of styrofoam cutlery. it may not be much, but it beats doing nothing at all. =)

anyway, enough of me blabbering on and on. will be back again soon. =)

psychology
15.12.08 @ 15:05

did this quiz linked from eden's blog about which major i should pursue. kind of interesting. quite true to a certain extent. =) i shall remove those below 50% for convenience sake. =x

Biology/Chemistry/Geology: 75%
Psychology/Sociology: 75%
History/Anthropology/LiberalArts: 69%
Religion/Theology: 69%
Visual&PerformingArts: 56%
English/Journalism/Comm: 56%
French/Spanish/OtherLanguage: 56%

from: http://quizfarm.com/quizzes/new/ohiojoshua/what-major-is-right-for-you/

well, i really have been thinking about studying psychology at sim. but i'm afraid that i may not have the patience to be a psychologist. but i'm interested in knowing the psychology of people. ah well, will talk to my sister about it and see what's her advice. for all i know, i don't want to take communications/media anymore.

anyway, if all goes well, i'll be taking up japanese from next year. will be taking with my sister at the japanese culture society at middle road. hopefully we can make it for the sunday sign up. it's nearly $500 for a year (elementary) but i think it'll be worth it since i've been talking about learning japanese for some time already. ah wells, we'll see how it goes then.

till then, <3

wee~
8.12.08 @ 13:06

wee~ birthday celebrations for nurdin and bing bing at vivo!

went out with shimin, shunman, bingbing, nurdin, peter, shihan, joseph and jason yesterday. had dinner at sushi tei and stoned our way through the evening. we were all kind of stoning yesterday because shihan just finished his standard chartered marathon and came over to meet us. and a few of us were ill as well. =( but well, we had loads of fun!

the weather's really good today. only woke up at 11.30am. still feeling a little bit tired. *yawns* but well, i shouldn't pamper myself so much. in case i don't wake up on time for work tomorrow. =x year end bonus cum pay is coming in a few days. wee~ that's my happy thought. =)

hmm, took a picture of the rain a few days back. looks nice, the rain i mean.

well, shall be off updating my facebook and of course, to slack the day off with tv before going for my buffet dinner! =)

tada~

i wish i can see you again.

hmm
4.12.08 @ 11:04

hmm.

i'm more than happy to see some of my friends settle down. but the weird thing is that those who are settling down are girl friends from poly. my secondary school girl friends are all looking or waiting. but it'll come one day, and then, all will be well.

hmm.

seeing them, images of what could have been appear. but those are only fragments of imagination. unreal, unfelt. sometimes it's not the could have beens, but the have beens that appear. warmth. words. promises. i can only think of them, on whether they'll come back, i'll just leave it to fate.

hmm.

i think it's time to revise for my exams in feb 09. *convinces self to revise* but i'm just too lazy to start on it. some day ... some day i'll start revising.

hmm.

bmf's pop-ing next week. time to arrange for a get-together with the rest. i'll enjoy laughing at his lack of hair. i want to hear the gay stories or things that happen in men island. it'd be fun, i guess.

hmm.

i want to watch movie. but i'm broke, at least till i get my pay. speaking of pay, this month is BONUS month. come ka-ching ka-ching, come to my bank account~

i'm tired, i really am.

with love,
xoxo

december
2.12.08 @ 16:21

i'm back. and it's december already. firstly,

HAPPY 20th BIRTHDAY BING BING!!

anyway, had dinner at bugis seoul garden on sunday. i didn't know that seoul garden's budget got cut so bad. the choice of food's kind of limited. it's like there's no fish at all lar. only garlic chicken, char siew chicken, curry chicken, more chicken, 2 types of beef (which doesn't concern me), seafood (which i can't eat yet), vegetables, spaghetti, ice cream etc. NO fish! gosh. lucky i wasn't very hungry that day. or i'd starve from the lack of yummy food. but well, no difference anyway since the food was digested in 2hours. :x

can't wait till monday (PUBLIC HOLIDAY!!) to celebrate bing bing and nurdin's birthdays together. i feel kind of bad because i've never celebrated her birthday when i've known her for 13 years! gosh, i SHOULD be embarrassed. :x and i'm so sorry to mel and the rest, because i can't join you on monday. don't get mad at me ok meow meow? i'll meet up with you people another day alright??

24 days to Christmas.
30 days to 2009.

oh yes, i've already started on my concluding post of 2008, in case i forget some important stuff when i'm rushing to type it at the end of the month.

PLANS FOR COUNTDOWN ANYONE??? let's go someone's place and party the night away shall we? =)

so near yet so far

**************************12.12pm**************************

i have decided, this will be my plan (for now :x)
short term goal (5 year):
-> maintain at least SGD$5xxx in bank account
-> get/start getting a degree
-> be in a stable relationship
-> bring parents to England(Old Trafford)/Japan(sakura season)
mid term goal (10 year):
-> maintain at least SGD$3xxxx in bank account
-> get married
-> travel to Maldives/Greece for the sunset
hmm, looks like i'm quite a $$ kind of person with my first goals in both. :x but well, only with $$ can i get a degree, travel to places that i want to and get married. the world that we live in is practical. so can only save alot and spend not too much as i go along in order to reach my goals. =)

xoxo
